As I'm trying to somewhat say keep up with this blog (school being all consuming) I am dedicating this one to Christmas!!. One the side is a running list of gifts that people want (notice the absence of the three students....Adam you are sooo good (Dad, tim, and ari). There are no pictures, which is sad, so if you have websites let me know.
This was a commentary I heard on NPR last week. I felt like it was an interesting perspective...I liked it quite a bit (sound needed).

For years, church groups have been fighting to play down the retail aspects of Christmas and play up the holiday's religious significance. Commentator John Boykin shares their frustration, but not their solution. He proposes making Christmas into a gift-giving secular holiday, and move what little of Christ is left over to Easter.
