To my family and all others who are following along,
This blog is designed for the Poston family, once a moderately sized four, has grown to our grand seven (Sue-mom, Bob-dad, Carlee with husband Adam Escue and boy Noah, and Ari with husband Tim Montgomery). This will be a way for us to communicate with one another about our lives and feelings in a fashion that we might be able to converse together in an open environment, literally being open on the world-wide-web.
This idea began with the hopes of reading a book in scripture that we could discuss together as a family. When adam chimed in to find out which book we had chosen I thought that it would be best if we could all interact in the discussion. Also, it felt like the best place where we could post scripture (the web having whatever version you can think of), discuss our thoughts, and communicate all the other things in our lives.
The names;
our title, Poston Prattle, (alliteration for dad) because our speach will often sound like meaningless, childlike talk. The Mark Twain quote, to humble us in our discussions, that we might remember that often what we say is based on feelings and not rational thought.
I hope we all enjoy and become closer in the process of this journaling.
love you all -ari
Ari, Just got on line again. I think last time I wrote was when we talked on the phone and you were just starting this.
I'm ready when your ready - to start the readings. Actually it might be best to wait until after the wedding. Thinks are kind of picking up here.
Jill and Bobby were confirmed on Friday at St. Augustines. It was really nice. I was honored to be asked to be their sponsor. We all went out to dinner. Carlee and Sally and of course Noah came up. So it was fun.
I've got my Russia pictures in a slide show. Maybe you two would like to see them when you come for the wedding.
I've been inviting everyone for lunch the day after the wedding. I hope you and Tim can stay a little. I know you've got a long trip though.
We're going to have it here at the house. The Minnesota family will be here until Monday, so it seemed like a good way to get everyone together to visit.
I've got to go. Dad and I have been busy getting the house ready. We bought a table for underneath the mirror at a garage sale this saturday. It looks great!
Love you both, Mom

few things. Yes, i thought that i'd wait until after the wedding to start that study. Im actually just surprised to even see that you have written (i'm hoping to hear from others also (hint, hint)
also, i've learned to put up photos ANYWHERE on here, so i'm looking forward to doing your russia ones. Do you have them scanned into a computer or as photos and not slides? we might need to take a few and do that. Also, get a projector so that we can see them the 8th. we'll be around sun for church and then we'll come over for dinner. What time?
Car,
do you have pictures of noah running his race? or you? what is going on with all of that?
